Aged care volunteer is awards finalist

A Umina aged care facility has recognised one of its volunteers for being a finalist in the Central Coast Volunteer of the Year Awards.

Peninsula Villages has congratulated volunteer Ms Annette Kelly.

"Annette is not only a fantastic volunteer at Peninsula Villages but is also an independent living resident," said Peninsula Villages chief executive Mr Colin Osborne.

"She and her mum have been a part of our village since 2014.

"Since joining us, Annette has been an invaluable support, volunteering her time to support us with mail deliveries, social activities, general village duties and of course, meal support and resident interactions."

Mr Osborne said the Volunteering Central Coast Awards recognised individuals who devoted their time, energy and enthusiasm as volunteers.

"We are so delighted Annette won an award.

"We thank Annette and all our volunteers for their invaluable commitment."
